04.04.2010 * Still evaluating the new digs

Spent the night in bed with Robert and another vizsla named Phoenix. I don't think Robert knew I was not allowed on beds in my past, but it was warm, too warm in fact, and I enjoyed the security of close contact with someone who had treated me so well. Of course, I don't think he was particularly appreciative of getting up 3 times to deal with more of the hitchhiking ticks who decided to abandon me (ingrates!). So I hope these humans learn to bathe rescues like me with an anti-tick/flea shampoo instead of a nice show shampoo....Of course, my Lab-like undercoat made it difficult for them to inspect me as easily as my new vizsla roomies. I had another wonderful warm breakfast and I appreciate the fact that my humans recognize my need to put on several pounds so as to lose my Biafran refugee-like figure. Later in the morning, I got my ears cleaned which I enjoyed and tried to show my appreciation thereof by "humming" during the procedure. I wondered if life could get any better.... The remainder of the day was spent playing, running, exploring and figuring out just how far I could manipulate these two humans....
