04.05.2010 * You are taking me where?

Spent the night on the bed again, for the most part, but did occasionally retreat to the floor hoping the human (Robert) would make the connection. Also, I was abandoned by yet another tick; not sure the human appreciated the event. Had another great warm meal, though I am still leery of having to eat in a crate for fear that I will be left there forever. Later in the morning I got to ride in a big truck with another very cute girl Vizsla. I promptly displayed my preference for riding in the front seat as opposed to being in a crate or the rear seat. Geez! How can I give directions from a crate or the back seat? We visited Dr. Waldo, a local vet, and I was only a bit afraid. I am not used to being poked and prodded and having all my orifices examined... I mean, what gives with these humans? Earlier that morning I'm out doing my business and then Robert decides to investigate my "output" and even put a sample in a vial...WTF? I'm beginning to wonder about my situation; how much weirdness can a dog tolerate? I did not enjoy being poked in the neck by a Dracula wanna-be vet tech, but I did appreciate the never-ending supply of dog cookies. The fact that I had company in the form of the cute Vizsla girl did make things a bit easier to endure. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful, save for Robert trying to perform more weirdness on me in the form of a Dremel; I promptly made it clear that he had overstepped the bounds of propriety and he relented. I also objected to the noisy lawn tractor with which Robert was seemingly intent upon destroying all the delicate shoots of grass I was enjoying on a regular basis. I am getting used to dining in a crate; the humans leave me in there only long enough to eat and then release me. I pretty much enjoy their company and like to lay at their feet while they make clicking sounds on a TV-like (yeah, I know what TV is) contraption. They help protect me from being overwhelmed by my 4 Vizsla roomies...and I appreciate that.
